Situated in the heart of the medieval town of Conwy, the club has been established for over 20 years.
We accept students from the age of 6 with no upper age limit and the first two classes are always free for new members, so you can try Karate training with no commitment or cost.
We are members of Yamada-Ha Shito-Ryu Shukokai Karate World Union.
We are affiliated to the Welsh Karate Governing Body, the European and World Karate Federations.
We recommend twice weekly training to get the most out of your karate training and to progress through the ranks at a steady pace.
There are opportunities to attend national courses with the UK Chief Instructor Denis Casey Sensei 9th Dan, as well as gradings and the opportunity to compete for those who wish to get involved in competition karate, at local, national and international level. The club has a proud history of producing a high calibre of student with success at competition at all levels.

This is includes basic member insurance and registration with the governing bodies. Students will receive a licence book where they can document progress and courses attended.
A licence from from April to April, and works out at £2.50 per month.
*If a students joins mid-year, they will pay a reduced licence for every month that has passed from April, then the licence will be renewed in April.
E.G a student joining in September would pay Sept-April at £20.
Approximately every 3 to 4 months we run a club grading examination, where students that qualify can take the grading for their next colour belt. Grading are taken by selection and does not guarantee a pass but we only put forward students that are ready to grade, the rest is up to them!
Colour belt gradings cost £20, a Brown Belt grading costs £25.

Karate Gi is the Japanese name for the traditional uniform used for karate training.
Prices vary depending on size, weight and quality, however a beginners Karate Gi is usually in the region of £20-£25
Every student should have an Association Gi badge presented on the left chest. No other form of decoration or badge can be attached to the Gi
