Special mention to Emily Pierce Jones and Max Owen, didn’t make the medals this time but represented the club to an exceptional standard.
We are delighted to announce that Sensei Andy has successfuly passed his grading and has been promoted to the rank of 6th (Roku) Dan at the recent Portugal seminars.
The grading took place under a grading panel led by Kamohara Sensei 10th Dan and Denis Casey Sensei 9th Dan. This marks a significant milestone in his karate journey.
Sensei Andy would also like to thank Marco Wong for being his Bunkai partner for the grading.

The UK Chief Instructor, Denis Casey Sensei, while on a trip to Japan recently, was awarded with 9th Dan and the highest rank of Hanshi.
We congratulate Sensei on his achievement, in recognition of his dedication, expertise, passion and continued contribution to Karate-do
Sensei Tony Grainger, our Associations' Assistant Chief Instructor and all-round great fellow has been awarded his 8th Dan - Hachidan (八段) in Japan by World Chief Instructor Kamohara Sensei, and assisted by Denis Casey Sensei. I'm sure you will all agree that this is a very well-deserved and well-earned honour. We all congratulate Tony on this occasion.
